I just signed up for Chartbeat, what do you mean I haven’t received pings yet?

Good question. We definitely need to get to the bottom of it ASAP, so your dashboard has some data on it. Some possible reasons:
  • Forget to click “Activate” on chartbeat.com/code after pasting the code? Go on. Click it.
  • Is our code really on your site? Double check that it’s all there and correct by checking “View source” in your browser.
  • Copy and pasting error? Make sure no weird letters or spaces found their way in. It sometimes happens when you email the code to someone.
  • Do you have JavaScript errors on your page? You can look for errors in your browser’s JavaScript console, which could keep our very conservative loading process from gearing up.
Checked it all and still no dice? No prob. Just e-mail us and we’ll get to the bottom of it in no time.
